4-day soft adventure trip with hotel/lodge accommodation, from Alice Springs via the western MacDonnell Ranges and the Mereenie Road to Kings Canyon and Ayers Rock!

Day 1: Su  Alice Springs – Glen Helen
Your day starts with a brief sightseeing trip in Alice Springs including a stopover atop ANZAC Hill. Then a stroll around historic Telegraph Sation, where „The Alice“ was founded. Departing for Simpsons Gap in the Western MacDonnell Ranges National Park, where you might encounter cute rock wallabies during a hike. After a stopover at Ellery Creek Big Hole you do the Ghostgum Walk at Ormiston Gorge, then drive to your accommodation on the ancient Finke River.

Day 2: Mo  Glen Helen – Watarrka National Park (Kings Canyon)
After an early morning stroll to Glen Helen Gorge and a hearty breakfast travel on the dusty Mereenie Road across a colourful desert landscape to Watarrka National Park. In the afternoon undertake a 2 to 3 hrs walk across the canyon plateau, from the sandstone domes of the „Lost City“ to the oasis of the “Garden of Eden”.

Day 3: Tu  Watarrka – Uluru Kata-Tjuta National Park
Today drive past red sand dunes to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park in the heart of the Outback. Check in at Ayers Rock Resort and explore the centre of Yulara village. In the afternoon travel to Kata-Tjuta (Mt Olga Group) for a walk into the Valley of the Winds. Shortly before sundown drive to Uluru and take in the magnificent sunset while enjoying a glass of sparkling wine.

Day 4: We  Uluru National Park – Departure by air / or return transfer to Alice Springs
Early morning it’s back to Uluru for the sensational sunrise and a walk around the base with its Aboriginal cave paintings and idyllic waterholes. Visit the award-winning Cultural Centre with its interpretive displays. Later return to the resort for breakfast, and with a transfer to the airport your tour ends. Alternatively return to Alice Springs, the tour then ends in the evening.  B

Inclusions: Touring in offroad-vehicle with a qualified driver-guide; three nights twin share accommodation; 5 meals, national park admissions.

Departures:
Sundays (pick up from hotels approx 08.30 -09.00 hrs, tour finishes at Ayers Rock Resort or Ayers Rock Airport around lunch time. Should you return to Alice Springs tour ends in the evening.


Important note: We reserve the right to alter the tour itinerary should roads be flooded or closed! We adjust walks according to the fitness of tour participants! Alternative accommodation at Ayers Rock Resort with the same or better standard is possible! Return transfer to Alice Springs available for a surcharge!
